Roberto Quarta has 30 years of international senior leadership experience acquired from working as a Chair and CEO to CAC All-Tradeable, FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and SBF 120 companies. This has given him a vast wealth of multi-industry knowledge of private equity, media and entertainment, medical technology, defence, aerospace and security, distribution (electrical supplies), engineering and manufacturing.
Roberto is Partner and Chair of the private-equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice Europe LLC (CD&R).
Previously, he was Chair of WPP plc and Chair of Smith & Nephew plc, a FTSE 100 listed global medical devices company. He was also CEO and then Chair of BB Aviation plc, and Chair of Rexel SA and IMI plc.
Roberto has an in-depth understanding of differing global governance requirements, having served as a Director and Chair of several UK and international companies.
In addition to his Chair roles, Roberto was previously an Independent Non-Executive Director at BAE Systems plc, BTR plc, Equant NV, Foster Wheeler AG and PowerGen plc.
