Clement Kwok has almost 45 years of leadership experience, primarily in the finance and hospitality sectors. Clement served as Managing Director and CEO of Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels Limited (HSH) for over 22 years. Under his leadership, HSH expanded its Peninsula Hotels brand globally, adding iconic properties in Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris, London and Istanbul.
Before joining HSH, Clement was the Finance Director at MTR Corporation, where he managed the company's IPO and several global bond issues, as well as overseeing significant infrastructure and real estate developments. Earlier in his career, Clement spent 12 years in investment banking with Barclays de Zoete Wedd (BZW) and Schroders Asia Limited, where he led major IPOs and mergers and acquisitions work for many of Hong Kong’s top corporate groups, banks and the Hong Kong Government.
Clement is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair of Hang Seng Bank. He has previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair of Swire Pacific. He also serves as a member of the World Travel and Tourism Council.
Clement is a prize-winning chartered accountant and graduated with a first-class honours degree from the London School of Economics.
