Marco Gadola has a strong track record in general management, corporate finance, marketing, distribution, and leadership throughout his extensive career in the Med-Tech industry. Marco also brings a wealth of experience gained from serving on the Boards of numerous companies across diverse industries.
During his tenure as CEO of Straumann from 2013 to 2019, the Group achieved remarkable milestones, doubling its revenue, more than doubling its profits, and tripling its workforce. Marco, who initially served as CFO and EVP Operations from 2006 to 2008, re-joined Straumann as CEO in 2013 after spending the interim years at Panalpina, as CFO and Regional CEO Asia Pacific.
Before Straumann, Marco spent 5 years at Hero, where he was CFO and responsible for IT and Operations. Previously, he spent 9 years at Hilti in senior commercial, sales and finance positions. Earlier in his career, he was an Audit Manager at Sandoz International Ltd and worked at Swiss Bank Corporation in Corporate Finance. Previously, he served as Chair of WS Audiology and Chair and Vice Chair of the Calida Group.
Currently, Marco holds pivotal roles as Senior Adviser to EQT, and as President of the Board of Directors of DKSH and Medartis Holding AG. He also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of MCH Group AG, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Straumann Group and Bühler.
Marco holds an INSEAD Certificate of Executive Coaching and Change Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Basel.
