Torsten has been the CEO of Talanx AG and HDI V.a.G. since May 2018. He has been instrumental in driving the cultural transformation and growth of the company. From 2010 to 2018, he headed the company’s international retail business and transformed the organisation through organic and inorganic growth. From 2016, he was additionally in charge of Group Human Resources.

After traineeship at Deutsche Bank AG, Torsten began his career at Allianz, where he held various functions in Germany and abroad for 17 years. He held positions as regional CEO in CEE and CEO Allianz Slovakia until 2010 before joining the Talanx Group.

Torsten was President of the Slovak Insurance Association and a member of the Strategic Board of the European Insurance Association CEA. Torsten holds a Master of Business Administration from FU Berlin, Germany.
