Tim retired as Chair of British Land Co plc in July 2024 after 10 years on the Board (including 5 years as Audit Committee Chair) and stepped down as Deputy Chair of Pearson plc in April 2024 after 9 years (including 7 years as Audit Committee Chair, and 3 years as Senior Independent Director). He was previously Senior Independent Director, Interim Chair and Audit Committee Chair of National Express, a Non-Executive Director of HM Treasury and Chair of the Corporate Partnerships Board of Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity.

In his executive career, Tim was Chief Financial Officer of ARM Holdings plc for 13 years, having previously held senior finance roles at Rebus Group, William Baird plc, LucasVarity plc and BTR plc.
