Vindi’s career includes 33 years at Unilever, where he rose to the Executive Board and served as President, Global Foods, Home & Personal Care, leading global teams, brand strategy, and integrating sustainability across operations.

After Unilever, he joined Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) in 2010 as an Operating Partner, where he continues to play a leading role in transformational investments, including Diversey, Mauser, B&M Retail and Morrisons, and chairs CD&R’s Sustainability Council.

He also holds several prominent non‑executive directorships, including at The Economist Group, and has previously served as Senior Independent Director at GSK plc and Marks & Spencer plc, and Non‑Executive Director at Thomson Reuters and Maruti Suzuki.

His leadership extends to Chair of Marie Curie, board roles in the International Chamber of Commerce UK, and Saïd Business School’s Leadership Council.

He brings deep cross-sector expertise in:

• Consumer & healthcare governance – steering public and private consumer health entities through change

• Private equity & operational turnaround – advising transformational growth strategies across multiple sectors

• Public sector & institutional leadership – shaping governance in government investment and higher education

Vindi holds degrees from IIT Delhi (B.Tech.) and IIM Ahmedabad (MBA) and is a Padma Bhushan honouree.
